Your first trip through Taipei GTA.
Start small. Walk down a street, try a vehicle, then choose a nearby destination. A short first trip makes the controls easier to learn.
Walk one street
Use W, A, S, D to move and the mouse to look around. When you are ready, stand near a vehicle and press F to get in.
Pick a destination
Press M for the map and choose somewhere nearby. Press T for the phone and follow the in-game mission prompts.
Keep the first trip short
Check your direction on the map and pick somewhere nearby. Slow down before intersections. Press T to open the phone for missions and read each objective. Press Esc to pause and check the in-game help.
Loading and performance
The game downloads 3D assets. Use a stable connection and close other heavy browser tabs. If the embedded game does not respond, open the original game in a new tab.
More than a quick ride
Three ways to find your Taipei.
Start with a walk, a short drive or a destination on the map. Choose a pace and make your first journey your own.
On foot: get to know the streets
Walk along one street and practice moving the camera. Pause at a junction, remember the route and approach any interaction prompts you find. A slower start makes the city easier to navigate.
By vehicle: take a short ride
Approach a vehicle and follow the prompt to get in. Practice accelerating, braking and turning on a straight stretch. Reach the next junction, then try finding your way back.
With a map: choose a destination
Press M to check the map and choose a nearby direction before returning to the street. For a guided objective, open the in-game phone with T and read the mission instructions first.
Save your speed for the straights
Four habits for a smoother drive.
Slow down before a turn
Release the accelerator early and use S to brake when needed. Steer with A or D, then accelerate once you have finished the turn.
Steer in small inputs
Short steering inputs make small corrections easier when you are learning. Start with straight roads before trying wider turns.
Get comfortable before using the handbrake
Space activates the handbrake while driving. Learn normal braking and steering first, then try it where you have room to feel how the vehicle responds.
Stop and check your map
Stop before opening the map with M. Press F to leave the vehicle when you want to explore on foot, then return and follow the prompt to get in again.
Spend your time playing
A more comfortable session, with fewer interruptions.
Keyboard and camera
Click inside the game before pressing a key. If controls still do not respond, finish any active text composition, switch to an English keyboard layout and focus the game again.
Phones and smaller screens
Rotate your phone to landscape to give the controls more room. Try Fullscreen, or use Open game if your browser does not support it.
Loading and slow performance
The first visit needs to load 3D assets. Keep your connection stable and close demanding tabs. Reload if the loading screen stops making progress.
Sound and browser settings
Interact with the game first, then check whether the tab is muted and review the in-game sound settings. Use the game’s pause menu when taking a break.
